These rules are designed to protect sincere religious discussion while allowing honest disagreement.
1. Ask sincerely and discuss in good faith.
Questions should be genuine attempts to understand, clarify, compare, or explore. Do not disguise ridicule, accusations, or attacks as a question.
2. Respect every person and every belief tradition.
You may disagree strongly with an idea, teaching, interpretation, institution, or practice. You may not insult, degrade, shame, mock, stereotype, or dehumanize the people who hold it.
3. No personal attacks or hostile language.
No name-calling, profanity directed at another person, threats, taunting, humiliation, sarcasm intended to belittle, or statements that question another member's intelligence, morality, sincerity, or worth.
4. Do not preach at, pressure, or command other members.
You may explain what your faith teaches and why you believe it. Do not tell another member that they must convert, repent, obey you, accept your doctrine, or follow your religious practice.
5. Critique ideas, not people.
Members may examine doctrines, texts, history, practices, or institutions. Criticism must be specific, calm, and evidence-based. Broad attacks on a religion or its followers are not allowed.
6. Cite sources responsibly.
Religious texts, books, articles, scholarship, and historical sources may be cited. Identify the source when possible. Do not use quotations as insults, threats, or declarations of superiority over another member.
7. Speak from your own perspective.
Prefer language such as “In my understanding,” “In my tradition,” or “This source teaches…” Avoid claiming that all members of a religion think, behave, or believe exactly the same way.
8. No hatred or contempt toward protected groups.
Content attacking people because of religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, gender, disability, or other protected characteristics is prohibited.
9. No harassment, dogpiling, or repeated targeting.
Do not follow another member from thread to thread to challenge, shame, provoke, or overwhelm them. Repeated unwanted confrontation may lead to restrictions.
10. Keep discussions serious and relevant.
Posts should remain on topic and contribute meaningfully. Spam, trolling, baiting, repetitive slogans, promotional material, and deliberate disruption may be removed.
11. Protect privacy and safety.
Do not publish another person's private contact information, identity documents, financial details, private messages, or other sensitive personal information without permission.
12. AI review before publication.
AI may hold a question or answer before it appears publicly if it detects insults, ridicule, hostility, coercive preaching, harassment, threats, demeaning generalizations, or other violations. The author should be shown a clear reason and given an opportunity to revise.
13. Human appeal and moderation.
Because AI can make mistakes, members should be able to request human review. Moderators should apply the same rules regardless of religion, nationality, or viewpoint.
14. Good-faith disagreement is protected.
A post should not be removed merely because it questions, challenges, or disagrees with a religion. The decisive issue is how the point is expressed: serious, respectful, relevant, and non-abusive.
